The actual 500 Millionth lighter will be classic brushed chrome with two-tone engraving. This one-of-a kind model will feature a distinctive bottom stamp indicating the date and time of production, as well as an individual serialization of number "1." It will be placed on permanent display in the company's museum near the plant.
"As we draw closer to the creation of the historic 500 Millionth Zippo lighter, we want to recognize the dedication and support of our employees and consumers, and the quality and appeal of the product we have been producing for 80 years," said Greg Booth, Zippo President and CEO. "We look forward to celebrating this milestone and our 80th Anniversary year with our dedicated employees, the people of Bradford, and Zippo enthusiasts around the world."
