GM 350/290 comp is 8.5:1 , and the pistons would raise it to 10:1
The spark plugs would not add any unless you were replacing fouled plugs. The high compression pistons would add about 3% per unit of compression increase. So if you increased the compression from 10 to 1 up to 12 to one you could expect about 18 hp

I just installed the plugs yesterday. The car seems to start faster and has more pep when you hit the throttle. The old plugs that were removed were relatively new (5000 miles on them) and in good condition, so I do not think the improvements have been a question of caps worn replaced with new plugs. Even so, things are difficult to measure and open to the power of suggestion. The real test will be the miles per gallon, I will be assessing and reporting on the conduct after approx....

Points leader Rick Huseman was again on a tear today as he took the lead early 4 Pro Unlimited qualifying in his # 36 Monster Energy/E3 Spark Plugs Toyota. Huseman leg to a 45.064 on his knees, and decreased the time leading up to 44.931 in the second round, then to 44,683 in the fifth round. Huseman seemed to have things well in hand, that is until Kyle LeDuc pulled a tour incredible 43.982 on lap six. The # 99 Rockstar / Makita driver has a seven-tenths of a second faster than anyone, a feat all the more remarkable when one considers the nature of this short track.Leduc time he brought the pole, fastest lap Huseman was good enough for second. Third went to Carl Renezeder in the # 17 Lucas Oil / General Tire Ford, his best lap was 45.235. Adrian Cenni finished fourth in his No. 11 Atrium Payroll / Maxxis truck after setting a best lap of 45.639, and complete the top five was Todd LeDuc in his Ford No. 4 Rockstar / Makita, with a time of Top of 46.073.
