This year was my first visit to the Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio. I tried to get people to join me for fun, but they had no money, too much work, or have been engaged in frivolous things like a honeymoon in Maui. So, I flew solo and drove down from Columbus on my own after my wife set out for his first important job interview. The descent was uneventful, and there was not even real traffic....
Registration for HUB Soccer's 2012 spring session is open. Two programs are being offered: recreation soccer for grades PreK through fourth and Munchkin Afternoon Soccer for aged 3 1/2, 4 and 5.
Munchkin Soccer is for parents looking for a mid-day affordable and noncompetitive sports activity for their children. Venue will consist of basic soccer skill development in a "fun game" context. Munchkins will play on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. Upper Knuth Soccer Field and also have a Saturday session.
PreK through fourth grade will have one weekday night session starting at 6 p.m. (day for each grade to be announced) and a Saturday afternoon session. This group's venue will consist of skill development, scrimmages and games. PreK players must be 4 years old by April 1.
Participants can register on line with credit card payment or can complete a registration form at www.hubsoccer.org, and pay by check.
