Am ripping out bathroom subflooor down to the lower 1/2" plywood over joists 16" o.c. Tile store suggested using DITRA under the ceramic tiles. Any experience, good or bad, using this product? Should I install 1/4" ply first (over the

sounds like a lot of work. just put down 1/2 in permabase (durarock) and be done with it in one pass. I think you need more than the 1/2 ply as a sub floor. and i only use ditra on a slab for tile.
