It seemed only a matter of time before Bugaboo, the brand that churns out the ne plus ultra of luxury baby strollers, offered designer fashion accessories for its pint-sized clients — and their label-toting mommies.
The Dutch company has collaborated with Italian fashion house Missoni on two exclusive designs made to jazz up Bugaboo’s swanky strollers: the $600 Bugaboo Bee and the $880 Cameleon. Available in July exclusively at Neiman Marcus, both accessories sets include a miniature knit blanket in Missoni’s trademark zigzag design. Additionally, the Cameleon set, priced at $269, features a sun canopy and bassinet apron in a Technicolor block print. The Bee’s set — which will set you back $199 — boasts a sun canopy in a rainbow-hued zigzag print.
Bugaboo initially approached Missoni, which is famous for its sumptuous, vibrantly colored knits, “because we have always admired their beloved prints,” said Kari Boiler, president of Bugaboo Americas, adding that the two companies share, “an innovative and contemporary aesthetic towards design.
