So I went to buy skates today and guess what. No where carries ice skates in the town I went to and there is no where else near that does.
I was going to try on both Jacksons and Riedells to see which fit better but obviously that didnt
Hmmm, buying skates online will be difficult unless you know exactly what you are looking for. I wear Jacksons skates, but I went to the store to have them made to fit my foot. Unless you get serious about figure skating, I wouldn't suggest you buy expensive

Well, you have to start somewhere, right? I am now officially certify (Iy crazy) and will be skating with about 1,200 others in a crazy roller "race" from Athens to Atlanta in October. Some are nuts at all and will go 87 miles, the whole way. Some are non-committal or only half-mad, and I'll do the marathon "double" in length, 52 miles. I'm wimping and will try to skate 38 miles. Seeing as how I did that flickered around an ice rink at my birthday party my roller girls were invited to, it will be a major undertaking.I spent the lives of my daughters and explained that girls / women can do anything they put their mind to. Hoping to have to grow up with a good self-esteem (has worked so far) and a blow to a healthy and well balanced. I was so busy pushing the importance of strong women, I forgot to say that a man can not do that! Well, let's go! That is the rub (literally). I am committed to A2A in October and I already bought my skates. Chris Rink in Gastonia Kate proved wildly competent and I set up my skates Riedel brilliant new R3.Even threw in his own wheels in the open, so I can start practicing before depositing another $ 100 for the wheels and bearings actual mine. Really nice. Ordered a basic helmet and pads luxury elbows, knees and wrists. Not so naive (or coordinates) that I do not think I'll be hitting the ground from time to time. But with this highly rated set of blocks that I bought off of Amazon, I should be able to recover. And if my $ 15 helmet breaks the first time I tried skating the night (read more about my unusual work schedule sleep / later), I'll just buy a new one.I attempt to go to work in private last night, but could not find the key to our fitness center.
